When Papermark is the better choice
You want to see which pages were read, even on a free plan. Papermark's pricing page lists page-by-page analytics on every plan. We only count visitors and views per day.
You need data rooms, an NDA before reading, or software you can run yourself. Papermark's pricing and home pages list data rooms with NDAs and an open-source version. We offer none of them.

Here the alert, the email gate and passwords are on paid plans. What we add is a link you can make without an account, and Word and PowerPoint files that open as a PDF.
Will I know when my client opens my proposal?
On a paid plan, yes. We email you when someone opens your page after a day without visits, and when someone enters their email at the gate. We limit how many alerts we send so your inbox does not fill up, and you can turn them off. The alert says it was opened, not which pages were read.
Does my client need an account or an app?
No. PDF, Word and PowerPoint files open in any browser, on a computer or a phone, with nothing to download. Papermark's guide also lists Excel files; here a spreadsheet is offered as a download, not shown in the browser.
How does the price compare?
Papermark's pricing page lists Free at €0, Pro at €24 a month and Business at €59 a month when paid yearly, with 1, 1 and 3 team members. Here, Pro costs $7 a month when paid yearly, for one person, and Business is for teams with 3 seats. The prices are in different currencies and the plans include different things, so compare features first.
